The Fortress of Komárno in the south of Slovakia, is the largest and most important memorial of its kind in Slovakia. With its size and degree of preservation, it is unique in Europe. In fact, there have been efforts to include it among the heritage sites named by UNESCO. For safety reasons the Fortress can be visited only with a tourist guide. Individual visits are not allowed.
At weekends: from October to May - only bigger groups of above 20 persons are accepted upon previous arrangements, which must be made min. 5 days before the actual visit,
from June to September for the arrival of bigger tourist groups above 20 people, please make reservation 5 days prior to the visit.
Guided tours start from the ticket office, which is located in the back part of the building of the City Police - Hradná St. No. 3692.
